2022 Thursday — Repair Work
Halfway -- that's what today represents -- halfway thru 16 laser treatments on my thumb that was injured during surgery last July. Back then the nerve never "woke-up" when the anesthesia wore off.
So 7 months later I am hoping to get the nerve in my right thumb rehabilitated.
Today's appointment was very encouraging because the doctor had me do some simple exercises with my thumb that exhibited how much better my thumb was functioning. Because the feeling in my thumb is still not good -- numb, tingling, burning -- I thought there had been no improvement. I have been so wrong about that.
After the laser appointment, we stopped at 4 thrift stores as we meandered back to the coast. I got some great loot. A muffin pan (I will make mini-pot pies in this pan); a rolling pin (I rarely see one in a thrift store--I don't need it, but); 4-lavender/purple placemats; and a tool for meshing shortening into flour (I don't know what it is called). AND a brand new pair of Rockport dress shoes (for 12 bucks). They feel like they were made for my feet.
Then Mitzi had a late afternoon appointment with the Morro Bay Vet. She is starting injections for cartilage to help with her shrinking trachea; 8 injections in 4-weeks. Hopefully that will help her.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
