Wild Fennel

By the sea at Wembury Point near Plymouth there are still a few of these wild fennel seed heads. They are now dry and brittle, and have lost almost all their green and yellow colour. I brought this one home to photograph out of the wind and the bright sunlight, though it took some time and effort to get the image the way I wanted it.
