Snow Day

Woke to a good covering of snow. The only time I went out was to walk down and get Ben from school. He was ecstatic about the snow and wanted to go out sledging with his pals up Craigie hill. He got all togged up and off with the sledge. Two hours later he returned. Despite having waterproof everything including walking boots he appeared as if he had been swimming in his clothes!! I suppose stuff is waterproof to an extent but throwing yourself into deep snow isn’t going to keep you dry unless you have the super douper gear that explorers wear! One of his pals had to leave as his brother got hit in the head by a rogue sledge - hopefully he is ok.

A change of clothes was given on return and I wrapped him up in the Golden Fleece with hot chocolate and my bottley. He ate like a horse and then was off out again at 7 for the scouts.
