Decided (partly)

After much deliberations we have booked our two weeker for May. We were restricted with dates due to a wedding on the 20th and Bruce at the end! We fly into Madrid on 3rd May and back out on the 17th. We plan to use the train Spanish trains which are excellent (for the people not the shareholders unlike here in privatised U.K.). We’ve got a few towns on the list like Toledo, Salamanca, Zaragoza and Valencia. We want to spend time in Valencia so there is planning of itinerary to be done. We did fancy Galicia but car hire is double pre pandemic so will keep it for another time. San Sebastián and Bilbao are also on a holiday list.

We walked into town for a late cuppa and immense spiced apple and cinnamon scone (shared) in Hinterland. It was so good. We popped into the library for a book on Spain but they didn’t have a Lonely Planet which I prefer so will have to order as Waterstones didn’t have one either.

It seems this is when we booked last May’s hol this time last year!
