Sunny start

An early Blip today. The sunrise tempted me outside onto the deck to take photos. It reached right across the sky.

The main shot is of the clouds in the west. I like the criss-cross of power lines and stripy clouds, as well as the pastel pink clouds against the very blue sky.

The extra is looking east at the sun-drenched sky behind the trees next door, nicely framed by macrocarpas.

Sunrise was at 7:07 this morning: more than an hour later than midsummer. I regret the lengthening nights, but it’s great to be up and about in time to enjoy the colours as the new day starts.
