Waking Up To Sad News

This was taken at about 8am U.K. time, a couple of hours before we landed back at Heathrow. The sunrise from the air always looks so peaceful.

Sadly, all was NOT peaceful below. I’d been woken up from my break about 3 hours earlier, and told that Russia was invading Ukraine. Not totally unexpected, of course, but sobering to realise it was really happening.

Thinking and praying for the people of Ukraine and for wisdom for all world leaders.
