Man and Beast
No - not OH but the title of the exhibition we visited in London!
No.2 had purchased tickets for the family for our Christmas presents so we met at the RA and spent an interesting couple of hours seeing the work of Francis Bacon. I think he must have been a very troubled soul expressing his troubles through his art. We also met up with D&I who had tickets for last week but couldn’t get to London because of Eunice.
We wandered after the exhibition and I had booked early dinner at an Italian restaurant in Dean street. Delighted to see that London was absolutely buzzing - walking three/four abreast on the pavement! Walking back to Charing Cross - No1 suggested impulsively that we go into the casino! She was asked for her ID on the door by a very burly, grumpy security guard (she is 31!). We limited ourselves to £20 but you only get a few chips with minimum bet at roulette being a fiver! However No.1 had a lucky number and played a bit before getting all her money back! I lost! However it was a good experience.
Back to the station and train home - what a good day (again).
