Kirkcudbright Bay
Today's the day .......................... for white horses
This is the view from a bit of the coastal footpath from Kirkcudbright to Torrs point that I've never seen before.
The reason for that is because, at this particular point, the footpath runs along the top of the cliffs on the eastern side of Kirkcudbright Bay - and it's right on the edge of quite a steep drop down to the shore. I was never quite brave enough (being severely scared of heights!) to walk along this bit because there really was nothing between you and instant death if you fell. But today, I was delighted to see that someone has widened the path by cutting back into the cliff - and better still, put a stout wooden fence at the edge.
So, no problems today. I could stand behind the fence and look out into the bay, where there was quite a wind blowing. It looked like proper sea too - with lots of white horses on the waves, dancing their way into Kirkcudbright ......................
