Swimming

Friday-Monday can be a tricky time of the week whilst S isn’t at sgoil-àraich, this week though has been really good. This afternoon S had a swimming lesson for the first time in maybe 2 years. My outdoor playgroup has always clashed with swimming so we couldn’t go but now the day has changed. This was the first lesson she’s had where I wasn’t in the pool with her, not even in the building in fact! I was really apprehensive as to how she would be after our swimming disaster a few weeks ago. But as ever proving me wrong, she was totally fine and full of confidence. It was nice to catch up with friends whilst the little ones had their lesson. Blip is of the sky on the way home.

My poor mum, she was supposed to leave yesterday but her boat got cancelled because of the weather. She was first in the reserve queue for the next boat but didn’t get on because the capacity of the boat was lower “because of covid”. She went home to wait for the last boat of the day and her car broke down in the ferry queue so she couldn’t leave. Looks like she won’t get off island now until Thursday.
