Did You Say Pancakes?

Much of our day was spent sorting paperwork and documenting my mother’s tax data. Hubby also started uploading programs and data on his new laptop. We took a break before lunch to pick up my new glasses and our meds. We bought lumpia and pansit for lunch since we were near the Oriental market. Later in the afternoon, hubby went to the church hall to help the Knight’s make and serve our Shrove Tuesday pancake supper. My DIL picked up my meal, pictured here. After I took the picture, I noticed the heart on the pancake. I worked on the tax papers until 5:30 and decided to get an update on the horrendous war in Ukraine. What courage their citizens have. But the increase in casualties is simply atrocious. Maybe we can use Lenten prayer to implore God to inspire world leaders how to end this suffering and for us to find ways to donate humanitarian aid. Thanks for stopping by. Be safe. “Without the breath of God, we are but dust. On the brink of Lent, Ash Wednesday helps us remember the life and death stakes in our own stories.” — Carolyn Arends
