Drone’s up …..

….. and shooting.
I was invited this morning by No.2 son to join him and another cameraman on a hilltop in the Wakatipu Basin, while they were in the process of putting together a shoot for an upcoming TV show.

That’s a monster sized drone above H’s head, requiring its own drive mechanism, a tall omnidirectional battery reflector which wasn’t working as strongly as it should, while H. directed the shooting from a TV screen. Complicated? Yes, and highly technical too.
I did get to position the battery reflector so I had my uses. It was incredible seeing the intricate work that had to go into making sure everything was just right before the drone was launched.
