Wednesday: Holidays!

It was a very early start for us.  Staying at the airport hotel helped but we still needed to be up bright and early for a flight to Puerto Vallarta.  

We’ve got a little holiday in between Vancouver and my next job so here we are in Mexico.  We’ve actually had to postpone this visit three times on account of you-know-what so decided it was time to use it or lose it.  

It’s great to be here and we are ready for the break but if I ever suggest a holiday tagged on immediately to moving house and city, then remind me of these times. Packing to leave, have a holiday, and get ready for a different climate, all while being of no fixed abode, has been quite something……something we felt acutely as we dragged ridiculously large suitcases with stuff we didn’t need and winter coats through the airport.  Still, we’re good now until we do it all in reverse.

So, arrived a little too late for decent photos but not too late for jalapeño margaritas.

The wifi is a little patchy in the hotel and involves dangling off the balcony but I’ll keep up as best I can.   But with these views from the balcony that’ll be no hardship.

We’ve been here a few times and our senses are on overload as it’s completely different to the homogenous environments we’ve been in for the last couple of years.
