Red Screes on the left and if you’ve got a big enough screen (I haven’t) I think the Kirkstone Pass Inn can be seen.

I bypassed Stock Ghyll wood and the waterfalls and headed towards Wansfell. I didn’t have time to go to the top but the views are good once off the road (though not for photos today).

I was surprised to see the United Utilities (our water company) vehicles then realised that the Thirlmere aqueduct runs below the lower slopes of Wansfell at this point.
