A short notice visit for the weekend by my daughter and little N. They arrived yesterday evening.

Today we got the open top bus to Grasmere. They went upstairs and I stayed down in the warmth. We walked back to Ambleside along the coffin route, stopping at the Rydal Hall tea shop for refreshments. I recommend the fruit scones.

I didn’t take many photos but thought I’d post the one that fits the Derelict Sunday challenge. We did wonder what was holding the big branch up as we walked under.
