Water Colored Afternoon

After a lazy morning, we decided mid-afternoon we had "cabin-fever" - we have no Internet connection and no television reception here at the house, so we went out to see what was happening around our little beach town. We spent the afternoon watching the kite surfers near the Cayucos pier.

Kite surfing looks like a tremendous amount of fun, certainly takes some skill and practice to learn how to master the kite, and definitely looks like a financial investment to have the equipment to play. It was free to watch, and we did for a couple of hours. We watched one of them exit the water and disconnect from his gear. He had quite a time getting his kite to cooperate and drop from the air to the sand. This sport definitely takes patience!
