Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Eldest Mini Princess,

Murphy and I went for a walk on Portobello beach with Kitty Cat and her 10 year old son, Wolverine.

While Wolverine was playing with Murphy, Kitty Cat told me that he came home from school the other day and announced that he wanted to join the ‘Carers club’ as it does loads of “fun stuff.”

Kitty Cat explained that it wouldn’t be appropriate as the club is there to support young carers, which doesn’t apply to him. Wolverine argued that he ‘“cares about things” but Kitty Cat set him well and truly straight (about the kind of things a young carer might do) and the matter was put to bed.

…Until Kitty Cat received an email from school to say that Wolverine had spoken to a teacher after assembly to ask about joining as he “helps to look after his Granny”.

Kitty Cat was horrified and I strongly supported my friend - by p1ssing myself laughing.

It’s so much funnier when it’s someone else’s child!
