out for lunch

My sister and two neices came to visit today and we all went out for Sunday lunch at the Picture House restaurant in Uckfield. Lovely to see them all for the first time this year.

Back to the house for a cup of tea and some jigsaw puzzling, and then I went to a very moving prayer vigil for Ukraine. A childrens' choir sang as we lit candles. It goes without saying that we all want peace, but my pacifist principles are being strongly tested.

This evening I went to the actual Picture House (open since 1916) to see the excellent film "Belfast" - a reminder of conflict closer to home and how children get caught up in it.

A bit of light relief tonight with a game of "Continuo" which my Dad brought home from a charity shop :-)
