This programme was an amazing morale booster during WW2. Events unfolding around our continent today make me wonder what morale boosting is needed now. I have recommissioned my battery LW and MW radio. If the digital and online net is hit the radio waves will still get through. I cannot believe I have just written that.

Our very own ITMA* is our son-in-law who, after we’d been let down twice by so called fitters’ non appearance, He came round again to put up our new blinds in our kitchen. He did a great job. The blinds look brilliant. ( Sadly, the football team he has supported all his life lost their local Manchester Derby 4-1.)

We were delighted to help out this afternoon having fun with their boys in the park. We all honed our fitness and clocked up some non screen time into the bargain!
