An excursion
Wonderful day at the Gorge, sunny and warm. We had to go east a bit from The Dalles to cross into Washington; the bridge near The Dalles Dam was being worked on. The main blip is of Mt Hood, taken from the Washington side of the Columbia River. In the extras I've added our return to the river just after sunset, and a couple of poor shots of birds we enjoyed meeting along the way. The first one is a Western Meadow Lark, the second one is a female Acorn Woodpecker in an Oak tree.
