Bubbles

Only had a half day to work today. Came home to Mr J's excellent Dal and Ellies home made flatbreads, mmmmmm. Have been obsessively checking the DHL website all day as I have ordered a new camera and it has been dispatched from New York today. Felt a bit guilty about the old one so decided to take it out for a walk this afternoon. It was raining so grabbed a waterproof bag. The rain was just an April shower and we were soon in sunshine walking across fields. I got the camera out of the waterproof bag and horror of horrors it had sand over it. Clearly must check bags before putting camera in. Cleaned as much sand off as I could see and turned it on.......no CF card ........ GRRRRRR Took some photo's with my phone but the focussing is hopeless.
Did have a lovely walk in the sun and showers though. Still a bit of snow on the hills. Allegedly we walked about 5 miles.
KnackeredI sat on the sofa and caught up with blips and emails. Still no further news of camera. Having decided the phone blips were not up to much I thought I would have a go at some oil and water blips I have seen on here. Balancing a glass dish of water on two stools over a coloured towel in the kitchen completely blocking access to the sink I dripped oil on the surface and then had to move everything as Ellie needed a drink. Hmmm. Tried green towel, on the table with wood grain, black velvet but none of it worked really. Decided to try bubbles instead and blew bubbles in a white dish with blue washing up liquid and water in it. These ones were definately better so now just played around with angles and backgrounds.
I like this shot the best. Could have done with more knowledge of lighting really. As I uploaded the photos to the computer it pinged informing me that my DHL parcel has arrived at East Midlands airport. Yippee.
