WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

By lizzie_birkett

Bella May goes for a bra fitting! :-D)). (E)

Frank said Bella needs a harness as she has been able to wriggle her head out her collar - especially if she doesn’t want to go somewhere or is scared of something - she just pulls back and it’s off but we don’t want the collar to be too tight round her neck so we took her to the pet shop this morning and the lady was really good at finding the right one that would be comfy. Bella just stood there and let her try a few on. The purple one fits the best and Bella seems to like it. We found out that what we thought were fireworks yesterday was actually the loud crack of skateboarders landing on paving somewhere. I don’t have a problem with skateboarders they have to have their fun. We just have to get Bella to not be scared of loud noises which she has been since last Bonfire night - even someone banging their bin lid. She’s such a wuss :-/
We also bought two 3 tier steamers, one for on the boat and one for at home. Hoping to use less gas as the price hike is high!
We came back to the mooring as I forgot to collect my prescription last week in Hellifield so - as the car is here - we can drive to the surgery tomorrow.

A light hearted poem today as I watched the leisure boat moor up this morning ready for a day of trips - extra. I wish I had taken a photo yesterday of the people queueing up but I hadn’t thought of the poem yesterday! You’ll have to imagine it ;-).
(Yesterday’s poem was added again as it had failed to paste)

Boat Trip

All aboard who’s coming aboard!
Sam is about to leave
The queue is long and snaking
A boy tugs daddy’s sleeve

‘Will we have to wait much longer?’
‘Will we get on this time Dad?’
The boy hops from foot to foot
‘We’ll just have to be patient lad.’

First a family of six gets on
Then a couple with two hounds
A pensioners outing has to helped
And everyone moves around

Two of them have zimmer frames
And they take up some space
The boy is looking worried now
You can see it on his face

Skipper sees the disappointment
Moves the zimmer frames inside
‘Come on now son, jump aboard
We’re goin’ for that boat ride!’

Thanks for all your comments, stars  and hearts.
