Monday: Shallots, Crocus & Watercress
Temperature around minus 3°C when we got up this morning, all the cars in our road were frozen - MrD left the engine running in his van, until I suggested someone could easily drive it away!
A day of relaxing and pottering - MrD had enjoyed the shallots (spring onions/bunching onions) which I’d picked yesterday so picked a few more today and planted a few more - last autumn’s pickling onions.
MrD cut the grass and was complaining about the moss growing in it, until I told him that moss keeps planet Earth alive. An interesting article https://biotope-city.net/moss-against-c02/
This year I have these purple crocus popping up everywhere, I’m not complaining - love purple, love crocus too!
The watercress has really grown since I last looked - maybe tomorrow’s salad?
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
