OH Canada

Took my bigger lens out for my walk today to get some practice.    Got some decent ducks,
but also caught a Kenmore Air float plane just taking off from Lake Union. ( Added the Canada geese.)  This plane still cannot fly to Canada.  It used to have scheduled service to Galiano and Saltspring Is.( and always to Vancouver and Victoria,) which in a pinch was very useful.   We certainly would have gone this way ..even a charter ..during the pandemic if we could.   

We’ve so wanted to know the statistics for how many of the random covid tests given out at the land borders to fully vaccinated and newly negative pcr tested people actually came up positive.   This has been handling travelers all over (Im not the only one…haha) and so the Buffalo, NY  News reports that the Canadian Health agency said on its website that 65,723 tests had been completed (I wonder how many were not) between Sept 10 and Nov 6, 2021  and that 0.15% of   them came back positive…. That’s 98 people.     How can the public health department justify this expense for this nonsense?   Now there’s talk of changing those tests to the rapid kind but one still has to be watched by someone on a scheduled video appointment.   I never heard one word about mine.   I’ll stop haranguing now and hope they come to their senses before summer .


That’s one report.   The other is that the Good Catch plant based Salmon Burger is a winner!   Very easy and very tasty…better than some real ones I’ve had.    It was the crab cakes and the salmon burger I was interested in…I’ve never bought fish sticks or fish burgers….but Im willing to try and will report…after a break.
