Highly Unsprung

Back down to earth.

From yesterday's sublime (dolphins a gogo), to today's ridiculous (codonas oh no no), today we finally gave in and for the first time took the sprogs to codonnas fun fare at Aberdeen's beach for the full experience. Tess was delighted, Sam was miserable ( I hate cadonnas, it makes me sick...literally).

We went on the pensionable ferris wheel, the Aberdeen Eye to kick things off. "Look!", Dave shouted, "what a great view, why, you can see all the way to poundland". Yes indeedy, grim doesn't quite do it justice. Despite being taken to the carnies (as it was called way back when) a lot as a wee girl and coming home with the odd poor sod of a goldfish, any nostalgia I might have had wore off as I spent a lot of time today lamenting having not brought along some hand sanitiser, or a breathaliser for one of the attendants, but that's another story.

Things perked up a bit later on when some of us went on the waltzers ( I screamed like a wee girl, Tess played it cool), and again later when Sam and Tess went on the vertigo climb thingamijig, with Tess coming off after the first level but fearty Sam confounding us all by going way too high no bother. Quick waterride and we had frozen our bahookies off long enough. Hometime.
