Baleful stare
Sky was fast asleep until I started clicking the camera. I'm not sure she was entirely pleased. She is usually a very sociable cat. On Saturday evening when we had folk around for dinner she insisted on sitting on everyone's lap in turn for a few minutes, even the person who isn't a cat lover.
But she doesn't like other cats turning up in 'her' garden and she always escorts them off the premises; by diplomatic means if possible but by force if necessary. I once saw her crouch low and then pounce from above onto a ginger tom twice her size. He quickly slunk away. Perhaps she was emboldened knowing I was there watching, perhaps she would have done it anyway. Clearly territory matters, even to a seemingly docile cat.
