Surprise #2

In Calgary working today. We had waves of snow squalls roll through. It is a bit like being in a snow globe.. Large white fluffy flakes that melt on contact with the pavement.

My office is on the 12th floor with floor to ceiling windows and a fabulous view of the Bow River corridor to the mountains. Not today but something very heartwarming. a goose has made her nest in the planter box on the balcony and there she sits in the snow!!

A pair nested there last year and once the chicks were born we had to call a wildlife officer to come and take them to safety. Can you imagine learning to fly from the 12th floor?
