International Women's Day!

Happy IWD2022 to all the wonderful women of the world!

Our first visit to the City of Southend today lol! To be fair, it looks exactly the same as the town it was beforehand - maybe with a bit more noise and disruption as they're digging up the high street paving once more!

But we got our tasks done that we needed, had lunch at Wimpy and then stopped at the lovely space of the New City Gallery which is a pop up art gallery and is forever changing.  There's a lot of talented artists around of all different techniques.  ONe of my faves was this painting of Freddie Mercury alongside some beautiful fashion.  and it was nice to go downstairs in the studio where there was a projector show going on showing the various artists who had been exhibiting over the past month or so. Felt like our own private cinema space!  I think the lease is up soon so I just hope it is renewed - makes a nice change from all the empty shops that are spreading! Why not put them to good use!!
