British Museum exhibiton

We had booked to see the Stonehenge exhibition at the BM and having fought thruogh the London Transport system on the day of a Tube strike, I am rellay glad we did.
It was stunning including most of the iconic pieces one has seen on television or in books, garnered from collections all over Europe. Peehaps the Nebra Sky disc was the most impressive but it did have a sign that said no photograps - a sign Tricia did not see. Some enigmaatic chalk 'drums' found in Yorksdhire last year and on a more parochial note, the Shulishader axe with its handle were all there. The piece above was the most curious found in Yorkshire and thought to date to c700BC. Fascinating and too much to really take in.
On then to an interesting lunch at the Seven Dials market with a cetnrla eating area surrounded by almost twenty food 'stalls'.
The odyssey then cotinued on to Haslemere and Tricia's other sister and husband, E&J.
