Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2022 Monday — Layers

I captured today’s photo on our way back into our little coastal town of Cayucos. We had been inland to the city of San Luis Obispo for the 12th laser treatment on my right thumb.

After that appointment we stopped for lunch at Mr. Pickle, a popular sandwich place (we’ve been told it is a franchise that was started in the San Francisco Bay Area). They make and serve good food.

Then we headed to the side of town opposite the coast, to the Staples store so Mr. Fun could purchase some rubber cement and supplies for building model cars & trucks. Then a quick stop at the Costco pharmacy to get a prescription for our pup Mitzi, and then on to the dollar store to get some greeting cards, and then a stop at the Vet’s office for Mitzi to get her 4th injection in a series of 8 to help with her condition of a shrinking trachea.

On the way back to the house, this photo op happened. As we crest the slight rise in the road traveling north out of the community of Morro Bay and into our community of Cayucos, we are at a favorite place for me. Today it revealed layers and layers and layers — of thin sheets of clouds; of distant hills; of white edged waves on their way to the shore; and vehicles on their way to somewhere. This is the last stretch to home, and the gateway to California’s Big Sur Highway is just up the road.

Often the air is too thick with moisture to get a decent photo here. Not today!

The pups were delighted to get home and we were too.

From California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
