2021 Sunday — Grandkids

When we returned to SoCal, we let our San Diego granddaughter know we were back and said we’d like to connect with them if possible. She responded that they were planning to come to Norco to visit her maternal grandparents on Sunday. We responded that we’d love to meet-up with them if that would fit into their schedule. They responded with a definite “yes!”

Then late on Saturday afternoon Desiree sent a text to let us know that their plans had changed with her Norco grandparents and their visit had been canceled. So we asked if we could meet them halfway between our place and San Diego.

At 1:00 we met in Temecula and enjoyed a fun meal with them. Tristan is 14 now and his voice is quite deep; Jade is 5 and full of energy. She created art with a tablet and crayons I had brought for her, and little Emillia had to get reacquainted with us, but once she did, she had lots of fun. It is immensely comforting to see our granddaughter Desiree so very happy. She and Justin are doing well and he says 5 years and he’ll retire from the U.S.Navy.
