Street Furniture
Unlike last week, when we skived off to go to Whitstable, we thought we better do an actual food shop today.
As a 'reward' we thought we would then treat ourselves to lunch at The Cheese Rooms in Rochester. We got there on the dot of 12 but it was already very busy. We thought we might be able to get a table in the basement (it has two floors) but a member of staff just looked us and said "there are no tables free down here".
I don't mind if somewhere is busy and you can't get a table but it's the way they tell you. She was quite rude and dismissive and just seemed to want us to leave. It doesn't take much to be polite. We won't be going back any time soon.
Therefore, we decided to head to Store 104 further down the high street. It sells books, yarns and artisan goods but also has its own cafe. We ordered two cappuccinos and a home made sausage roll. Much better!
Today's image was taken outside an empty shop on a short stroll afterwards. I just liked these abandoned formal looking chairs against the background of the whitewashed windows. I also love the black bin bag with a knot tied at the top in the bottom left hand corner! :-)
