Above the Lyne
Our walk today takes us to Lyne Kirk and the Roman fort. We cross the field and enter the wood, a meandering expense of Scot’s pine and larch. Underfoot there are hundreds of burrows, probably badgers.
The sun shines, but the wind is bitter.
Roast pork for tea. Enemy of the State for afters.
