Bugger, I've got the Rona
BACKBLIPPED
Woke up early this morning, felt rubbish, did a test, its a Blip
I have not posted this until the 11th so its all history. I must say that I have not been too bad with it. A headache, bit of back ache and disturbed sleeping pattern is about all I have had. Kept waking up during the night but I must also have kept going back to sleep as well. Was dozy and lethargic during the day, the lack of activity could have been the cause of the sleep pattern change. Four days later I am just lacking enthusiasm, when I get up to actually do something everything is fine. The one thing that I have been worried about ever since Covid started is it effecting my breathing, always a problem with colds etc. No problem at all, overall I think I have been very lucky.
I logged my test with the NHS and quickly got their reply email telling me to self isolate and also offering me a chance to take part in an anti-viral drug research. A couple of hours after agreeing I received a questionnaire that I completed and 10 minutes after I submitted it the phone rang, a doctor from the research group checking my answers, asking more questions and agreeing that I can participate. My involvement is to take some drugs for 5 days and complete a daily diary for a month. The drugs arrived by courier first thing next day. So within 24 hours of submitting my positive I was taking anti-viral drugs. Now that really is efficiency, so impressed.
Not impressed by the pills, 4 to be taken twice a day for 5 days. They are huge, look like they should be given to horses or camels, not me. Easy to swallow so not complaining
Sorry for such a long post.
