It Takes A Long Spoon

To sup with a Fifer.  This is a much maligned slur from history about the probity of a native of "The Kingdom of Fife".

As just such a native, my spoon is normal size. True, it is silver and engraved with initials. The initials are not mine and the spoons were purchased in a local charity shop many years ago for very little money.

Today’s Blipfoto entry is my pudding course with coffee. We had spent much more time than envisaged looking for a Post Office which was actually open to accept our items of tracked mail.

The nearest although advised as open was actually closed for staff training. After visiting another two and passing another three which are no longer Post Offices we found that the Dairsie Post Office was open and delighted to accept our items.

The plus point in this expedition is that we enjoyed a journey through the fine countryside.

The quilted cosy was made by our neighbour Helen and is just the thing for handling a hot bowl containing homemade fruit cobbler and cream.

On our journey we were pleased to see much support for the people of Ukraine.

Newport-on-Tay is twinned with Zolatoravo, Ukraine.
