Nith wanderings

Angus goes to college. Megan and I wander the Nith, crossing bridges and climbing steps.

We can see the Academy bridge, but fail to access it. Later, a lady at the museum of children’s literature (the birthplace of Peter Pan!) tells us that it’s reached from the Dumfries Academy playground. That’s hotter they get to the playing fields which are on the other side of the river.

After lunch at Pumpernickel, I accompany Megan to White Sands. Stagecoach silently cancel the X74, so we have another thirty minutes of repose before returning to the bus stop.

Angus returns. Time passes. We head to India Palms for speedy, tasty curry and a pint of Cobra. And then to Wetherspoons for a pint of beer, before heading home to watch an episode of the Mentalist.

Phew.
