Large screen
I stop in at Boron and Theresa’s on the way home to return a cake tin. It’s lunchtime and they are just getting breakfast - partying last night.
In the living room is an outrageously large television. A decade old, acquired second hand locally, it still delivers a crisp, bright picture. As they warm it up for the rugby, I make my farewells.
At the gardens, Nick and I fix the chain lift that keeps the mice away from the seedlings. Then I sow beans, peas, tomatoes, leeks, aubergine, peppers, broccoli, calabrese, cauliflower and cucumber.
