Scottish National Portrait Gallery

Had some family-visitors over in Edinburgh this afternoon, so we went into town and headed for the Scottish National Portrait Gallery ...

... here's a snap of the Nicola Benedetti portrait, which was painted by 23-year old Calum Stevenson, as part of the winning commission for the 2021 'Portrait Artist of the Year' competition.

I've added the information-plaque, from the gallery, as an extra - Nicola Benedetti has very recently attracted much positive news-coverage; all since sitting for this portrait last year :-)
