Vet in the wet

Stella had developed an alarming hacking cough, so it was good that the vet could manage to see her. 

It seemed there were two possibilities: an irritated throat or a "there's a lot of it about" cough. Since there was no evidence of anything in her throat and her lungs sounded clear, the vet said there was probably nothing to worry about.

The reassurance was well worth getting rained on.
