A drink at the local

This pub is only a couple of hundred yards from where we live.

Over the past few years it has had its ups and downs. It used to be owned by a brewing company but they let it deteriorate to the point of dereliction. It was then bought by a consortium who spent an enormous amount on renovation. Initially it was quite trendy but the locals deserted it due to the high prices and pretentiousness.

Fortunately, sense prevailed, and a new manager has reduced the prices and improved the menu so the locals are patronising it again.

We go there most Friday evenings to meet some friends for a few beers.
