Eurasian jay

The Sahara sand dust has reached us today, very weird reddish light in the sky. It didn't stop the regular wildlife from visiting the garden, we had the jay, jackdaws and squirrels (see extra) hopping or running around. For Wild Wednesday with thanks to Cailleach for accommodating us every week.

Council elections in The Netherlands today (well, yesterday and the day before too). We did our civic duty :-) Remains weird when there's a war only two hours flying from here. Can't understand how people are optimistic about the talks about that. What about the deaths and the destruction brought on by this continuing aggression ? Should that be forgotten just like that ? And bravo to the leaders of Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovenia, what a brave and wonderful deed of support !
