The Severn bridge
Today our painting course was winding down with a bit of practical work and then a critique of the work we had done. It has been a really good week with such a great opportunity to watch a well respected artist in his element creating beautiful pieces of work almost effortlessly. The way the course was designed, the emphasis was very much on watching and learning with just a little actual painting and I am looking forward to practising the new techniques when I get home. There were 12 of us on the course and we had a really good group so it was great fun throughout the week and I particularly enjoyed the days we spent out of doors practising sketching, although it was very, very cold. I think I may have persuaded at least three of the group to join blip although I did warn them that it was addictive!
The drive down through the south of Wales was very pretty and I enjoyed going over the rather striking Severn Bridge in the rain. I am now spending a few family days with my daughter.
