Nelson lighthouse.
Today I went to Nelson to photograph Seaspan Hannover but the light on the lighthouse was too good to miss but also the lighthouse has a bit of history. It's built of cast iron sections which were produced in the UK and shipped to Nelson and erected in 1862. Lily Robertson's father was the lighthouse keeper and this link will give the story of some of her life living at the lighthouse on the Boulder Bank. It has to be remembered that the sea front was Haven Road and not the Port as it is today.
Seaspan Hannover in the Extra.
No motorcycling for me for awhile as I found the reason the tyre was going down a dent in the rim. At least it's repairable.
