A favourite place.

A peaceful place I come to often. A place to stand and stare in wonder and to think of how many years it has taken to slowly develop to its present form. If one counts the formation of the limestone it has taken hundreds of millions of years.

For the time being it is protected as a nature reserve. For full enjoyment of it I have to temporarily put out of my mind the knowledge that throughout the world humanity is destroying so many places as wonderful as this one.

At least the technical ingenuity of humanity allows me to bring home many images to keep the memory alive. I will share two more with you in extras.
