Eco Tourism - BMT style

Posting this photo has a double meaning to me

- The intensity of the blue sky in contrast with the traditional Buôn Ma Thu?t housing structure in its earthy tones makes it a very "clean" photo - not very busy.

- This traditional "hut" in the region of Buôn Ma Thu?t - where you can find the ethnic minority villages of the Ede and the M'nong people - is actually part of a larger complex- an investment led by a selective group of the local women coffee suppliers of BMT. They have co-invested the construction of this site which will be self funded through various activities proposed there. The first step being the restaurant you can see above, followed by a hotel, tours, shops, etc...
It's a great initiative, showing at the same time the willingness and resourcefulness of the local business community to show to the world the potential of Vietnam in terms of eco - tourism ventures.

(Only question I have at this point was what makes it eco - tourism??)

But above all a its a common project, which will bring the businesses and the ethnic communities together, and led by women - a great example, hopefully a good business model and I wish them all the best.
