Liverpool docks

We are spending the night in Liverpool as tomorrow we sail for Ireland to begin our new life. I am leaving my 100 yr old house in a town and moving to a 10 yr old house in the middle of the country. So.....completely different.
The last few months have been interesting to say the least.Getting my head round all the rules and regulations has been challenging and the task of packing up (and considerably downsizing) daunting. I've lost track of the number of trips to the tip and the charity shops have hugely benefited. I have said goodbye to friends (even though we are already planning meetups) and given up my job. I have visited places 'one last time' - and taken photographs to remind me of them. It has been bittersweet - very sad and very exciting at the same time.
if I have 3 bits of advice for anyone they are:-
1 NEVER move house
2 NEVER downsize
3 NEVER move abroad
We've only got about 3 hours here and that includes getting something to eat. So it was a whistlestop tour round the Liver Building, Beatles statues and the docks. Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to see the cathederal and although I could see it in the distance It was just too far away. Maybe next time.
So, lets see what tomorrow holds.
