The first of many . . . . .
. . . . . beautiful days? Let's hope so. I had a long chat with my new neighbour across the road who came up a couple of times with bags of stuff in his car. I think he and his wife will be moving in shortly. He was brought along by a friend who turned out to be his musical buddy - they call themselves ' McAdam' - and have performed together for forty years! We had a long talk about music and our favourite bands.
Sunny, warm, dry, almost windless - wonderful! Sitting outside on the deck in the sun with a cuppa, in between spasms of gardening! Shifting soil, digging out the remaining hazels and other shrubs which the Woodland Trust didn't want yesterday - I cut down and potted up four of then in the hope that they might grow, though they haven't many roots left!
Susie came out and sat on the table for a while, then moved to her favourite step where she was (appearing to be) enjoying the Chionodoxa 'Pink Giant', which I think it is.
