The Cellar

It's taken a while, but I'm slowly getting to know Oxford - including, recently, a bit of its nightlife.

I've had several meetings in the council offices off Cornmarket Street, without ever knowing of the goings on in The Cellar below. A whole new side of this city is opening up to me!

Luckily, our friends Maike and Fred enticed us along to the Bossaphonik jazz night featuring the "8 man sousaphone-fuelled street funk ensemble", the Horndog Brass Band' - from Edinburgh, my other favourite city. I particularly enjoyed their cover of Fatboy Slim's 'Praise'.
