’One Minute before the Start’

Another beautiful morning today for parkrun, with only a few thin clouds in the clear blue sky!

Standing on the wall with the microphone and PA system, is today’s run director, giving the pre-start briefing (since Covid now limited to two minutes as part of social distancing measures). 

This typically includes welcoming new participants, a description of the course, pointing out any hazards, rules about children and dogs (children under the age of 11 must be within arm’s reach of a parent, guardian or designated adult of the parents' choice at all times; only one dog and on a short leash), what to do if you get into difficulties, - and a special thank - you to the many volunteers (there are more volunteers these days - again because of Covid).

Then ‘is everybody ready?’
