White Horse Wander
This morning we travelled to Thirsk for an urban orienteering event put on by our club EBOR. A lovely morning to be out and we both enjoyed our runs. Apart from wrestling with the A3 map ( I like to fold it to just focus on a few controls at a time ) I managed to get round with few problems. Pleased to have one my age group and to be fastest on the course too.
On the way home we stopped off on top of Sutton Bank to take Jet for a walk. We walked along the Cleveland way to the White Horse. The photo shows part of the horse with Richard and Jet in the foreground.. The best views of the horse are from below but having competed we couldn’t face the climb back up. Despite the sun there was a cool breeze blowing across the escarpment. So we were glad to get home for a hot bath and a cuppa.
