British Cemetery Hermanville

Hermanville is near Caen and the Normandy landings 1944. The cemetery has over 1000 graves mostly British soldiers with several Australian, Canadian and three French Commandos. We are about to start looking for the beaches where the troops landed, in particular where John uncle is photographed on Sword Beach. Sadly we had no knowledge of his part in the war until a year ago, he survived the war and afterwards worked for the military police until his retirement. He died in 1989.
